Castello di Corbara winery has been invited to the Tre Bicchieri and Vini d'Italia Tour hosted by Gambero Rosso, Italy's premier Food & Wine Magazine. Castello di Corbara will make an exclusive stop in Sacramento February 19th and 20th to present their wines at Adamo's Kitchen.
Castello di Corbara winery sits on the Tiber River; and is located an hour north of Rome on the border of the Umbria and Lazio regions. The land is rich in history, an ancient Roman port sits on the riverbank and the castle was until recently home to medieval nobility.
Our father, John, met Francesca Bernicchi 5 years ago while looking for Italian wines to import to the United States. Francesca has run the family-owned winery for the last 20 years. She is one of a handful of pioneer women running a winery of this size in Italy. She pays particular attention to the different microclimates on the 2500 acre estate in order to guarantee authentic wines that honor the land. The entire process is done completely on site from growing the grapes to bottling.
Castello di Corbara has won numerous awards over the last two decades; recently they were invited to the Tre Bicchieri and Vini d'Italia Tour hosted by Gambero Rosso, Italy's premier Food and Wine Magazine. Castello di Corbara will make an exclusive stop at Adamo's to show six of their wines: the Sangiovese, Grechetto, Orvieto Classico, Sangiovese Merlot, and two of their Reserve wines TBD.
The wine tasting event will take place February 19th and 20th from 12:00-1:30 and 2:00-3:30. Castello di Corbara staff members will lead the wine tasting and be available for questions. Antipasto and tasting cards will be provided for attendees. Sign up below.
